We recently completed the renovation of two new suites at Malmaison Brighton.
The rooms were designed as a homage to the beautiful Balearic Island of Ibiza, we took inspiration for the suites from the breathtaking beaches, it’s laid back vibe and infamous night life. These signature rooms are unique to Brighton and reflect the feeling of care free Summer holidays.
The project took four weeks to complete, including design, build, bespoke furniture and installation.
The lighter coloured suite has been named after one the islands most treasured venues- {Cafe} Del Mar and the purple room after Ibiza’s famed night club Insomnia.
Both suites are complete with bespoke furniture, particularly reclaimed scaffold boards that have been white washed and the timber then oiled to give it an authentic driftwood look.
The Del Mar room is the calm-relaxing room with palm trees and a nice big corner sofa with space to relax.
Insomnia is a different story! It has a dance floor and dance table to party on with a projector screen playing DJ sets from Ibiza with music played through the sound system. The neon light boxes above the bedhead create a clubbing atmosphere along with colour changing lights, and 2 chill out sofas next to the dance floor.
Both rooms have white laminate floating beds and coordinating side units, the carpets are a seascape pattern. Vinyl graphics were added to walls and glass doors and the rooms can be kept separate or host a larger party using the interconnecting doors.
We have also constructed a sliding screen on the balcony so the balconies can be seperate or connected. Sadly as the weather was a bit choppy we didn’t get to scan the outside if the building but we will add this when we get a sunny day.
